I stubbled across the Milky Disco selection of retro record covers this morning. Loving the use of the Agostina typeface (designed by Mike Cina) these covers have that classic retro style!

Check out a range of the Mexican artist's other work here as well.

Her work, shown here, is just beautiful, engaging and calming. Take some time to have a look at some of the other photos and be taken to another world!

These artworks examine a second skin or mask we place to protect us. Unfortunately for us, living on the other side of the country we can't attend the exhibition however, I would encourage anyone who can to attend the exhibition at Lo-Fi Collective, it looks incredible. I love the surface these images are created on and the intense eyes looking at the viewer. Please check the link as there are many more images to be intrigued by...

Got a Pencil?

This impressive artwork was sent via email so sadly I have no references for this incredible talent! All I can say is this artist has collected old pencils and carved the most amazing things into the lead. Here you can see the alphabet, however there are images of many other objects he has carved into the leads. If anyone has more information on this artist I would love to hear about it!

BEANBAG SOFA & DUCT TAPE RUG

Just today, I came across the fabulous blog Door Sixteen with a wonderful range of interesting finds, many design related. This one took my specific fancy as I have been feeling a little tired of late and the idea of curling up in this beanbag sofa was just too hard to pass up! Not to mention how well the duct tape rug matches! Check out some more here.

I love the concept and colours but can really see it only working in a very eclectic house or totally sparse warehouse space. Either way, what an clever concept by Dutch designer Bertjan Pot.

Which Typeface Uses the Most Ink?

AGDA National draws our attention to a recent experiment of two designers based in the UK to test what typefaces use the most ink.

"A selection of the most commonly used typefaces were compared for how economical they are with the amount of ink which they use at the same point size. Large scale renditions of the typefaces were drawn out with ballpoint pens, allowing the remaining ink levels to display the ink efficiency of each typeface

At the end of the experiment, a graph was made out of the ballpoint pens used for drawing each typeface, revealing that Garamond, the one with the most amount of ink left, is the most economical. On the other hand, the heavy Impact font measured as the most ink-demanding typeface of the lot."

	See more photos here.
